[edit] Secede from Black Rock City Y'all!

History repeats itself the first time as tragedy and the second time as farce! So why not secede from Black Rock City, just for the hell of it?

'Ole Dixie experienced her first bout of tragic revanchisme as the American dreams of gun-toting, white, Southern racists.

But that don't mean we can't have a little bit of fun with Dixie yet!

What could be better than kicking back on our very own big front porch on the playa, behind a wall of sandbags, sitting in rockers, sipping a mint julep and heckling the "Yankees" passing by. Alternately, we could invite the nice ones: "Come sit up 'ere on our front porch and have a drink!"

Who wants to raise some rebel yell and slipstream a little bit of antebellum charm into BRC this summer?

• We need chairs this year right? Can anyone find rocking chairs in the bay area? like really cheap ones?

• Rather than a theme camp...Why not just secede for a day? fly a rebel flag? heckle yankie hippie liberals? Serve some mint julep tea

• Flag raising ceremony on the day we secede.

• Basic concept here for a toned down project, would be secession for a day. A flag. rocking chairs, booze.
