Tasty Noodles is a group of desert party misfits that have been rocking the Mojave since February of 2006. The idea was born between Reavis and John while at the Claremont Colleges, but did not come to full fruition until years later when the first party was thrown: V3K in February of 2006. The parties have evolved from quick all night parties to full weekend campouts, and word of mouth has spurred tremendous growth and dedication in its attendees.

The Ramen sound system had it's start as just a large subwoofer and amplifier that by themselves weren't good for much more than coffee table use. Since then the Ramen has grown to a complete 6,000 watt soundsystem with a generator to power it.

Now gone are the days of the shanty shade structure -- they have been replaced with numerous large, fully reinforced shade structures to handle the desert elements. In addition, the infrastructure now includes a fully collapsible bar/serving area for the delight of the attendees.

For the first time, Tasty Noodles is rolling out to Burning Man! With the excitement and burn raging within, Tasty Noodles has teamed up with Oobleck Village to host a bar and to produce the camp soundtrack with a lighter version of the Ramen sound system. The plan is to setup shop and party it up anywhere from 3-5 afternoons for anywhere from 2-6 hours. Drinks will be served to the camp and the public, music will be played and the evening's party plans will be kicked off Tasty Noodles style.

For the bar we are bringing all varieties of liquor, kegs of beer and flabongos (but no cups! Bring your own!). Though we will certainly bring much more booze than we can personally drink, any and all bar donations will be much appreciated, and will go a long way in allowing us to distribute beverages to the camp and general population with greater freedom. Mixers too! We definitely need lots of those! We also invite everyone to bring their iPods and/or CD players and CD's (we have no CD player) to play during other general camp chill times. Anyone may also power up their portable devices with our generator (phones, iPods, etc.).

We are very excited to join Oobleck Village and can't wait to meet everyone. We think it's going to be a truly memorable Burn for all.

Some things to look out for:

  • 50 hand-made hula hoops for your dancing pleasure. Wendy has been furiously making as many hoops as possible for gifting and camp use. Strut your stuff or learn for the first time. You're sure to look good and you may even pick up some cool tricks or a hoop to take home!
  • Flamingos and the octabong! And by flamingos, I mean flabongos. A whole flock of them! Whoever said beer bongs are for high school wasn't as sheltered as I was in high school <rim shot>. But seriously, these things are awesome and an instant party-starter. The octabong is equally legendary, and really fosters a sense of community and competition to the beer-bonging crowd.
  • Fire! Glow! Hula hoops, poi and juggling toys will be lit up and set ablaze come sundown. Bring your fire and gloy toys and lets all dazzle each other.
  • Colorado Mother Fucker -- Join us in the consumption of our favorite college cocktail served with ice cream! It's a concoction you're sure to remember (or it may make you forget everything).
  • Dinosaurs -- everything you learned about their extinction is false. And we have the dinosaurs to prove it. Deal with it.
